- 1Upload the statement PDF or a scanned image.
- 2Draw a shape over the account number, balance, or rows you don't need to share.
- 3Review every page, then download the redacted file.
Frequently asked questions
What should I redact on a bank statement?
Account number, routing or IFSC code, and full transaction history are the usual candidates. If you only need to prove ownership or income for a limited period, cover everything outside that window too.
Can AnyRedact find my account number automatically?
Account and routing numbers don't follow one universal pattern the way an SSN or PAN does, so there's no automatic detection for them. Draw a rectangle, circle, or polygon over each one yourself, then review the whole statement page by page.
Should I leave the last four digits of my account visible?
Only if the recipient specifically needs them to match the account — for example, a landlord confirming a security deposit source. When in doubt, cover the entire number rather than partially masking it.
Is it safe to redact and share a statement online?
AnyRedact opens and redacts the PDF entirely in your browser, so the statement itself is never uploaded. Still, double-check every page in the preview before you download, since a redaction can't be undone afterward.
