Disclaimer

Last updated October 4, 2026

AnyRedact is provided as a free, as-is convenience tool. It is not a substitute for professional legal, compliance, or security advice, and using it does not guarantee that a file meets any particular law, regulation, or organizational policy.

Detection is a starting point, not a guarantee

Automatic detection of identifiers such as SSN, PAN, Aadhaar, and passport numbers works on the text layer of a PDF and can miss items, misread garbled text, or flag something that is not sensitive. Scanned pages and images are not scanned for text at all — you place every mark yourself.

Your responsibility before sharing a file

You are responsible for reviewing every page in the preview, adding or removing redaction shapes, and confirming that the downloaded file is suitable before you send, publish, or file it. Once downloaded, a redaction cannot be undone, so review carefully beforehand.

Processing and retention

Your files are never uploaded. AnyRedact opens, redacts, and exports PDFs and images entirely in your browser, so the document and every redaction you draw stay on your device throughout. A local timer clears that in-browser session automatically after 24 hours, or immediately when you choose Start over or close the tab.

Browser and device

Because redaction runs on your device, results depend on your browser, available memory, and file size. Very large or unusual files may fail to load or render incorrectly — if that happens, review the result carefully or try a smaller file before relying on it.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Arixeva Labs is not liable for residual personal data, failed or missed detections, rendering errors, or any downstream use, disclosure, or consequence of a file exported from AnyRedact.
